Beginning with the 2015 grants process, LSC will launch a new subgrant review process in an effort to more simply and efficiently collect information needed to evaluate: 1) subgrants as a part of LSC’s annual competitive grant and grant renewal process; and 2) annual requests for subgrant approval.
For subgrants with effective dates starting on or after January 1, 2015
The new process will be a two-step process.
Step 1: The first step will be available for completion in the online application system at LSC Grants on or around, June 16, 2014; and will be due by July 7, 2014 for each subgrant of basic field funds anticipated for 2015. As part of the application process, applicants will upload into LSC Grants a draft, or drafts, of the subgrant agreement(s) for which they anticipate requesting approval for 2015. They will also upload answers to one of these sets of inquiries:
Step 2: Grantees will be required to request approval of their proposed 2015 subgrant agreement(s) at least 45 days in advance of the effective date(s). However, grantees will not be required to provide to LSC information already provided in step one, if the information previously provided is still accurate at the time of the final approval request.

 Submission of the information requested by July 7, 2014 does not obligate grantees to execute the proposed subgrant. Submission of the information requested also does not obligate LSC to approve a subgrant.
