LSC announces availability of competitive grant funds for service area NMS-1

LSC announces the availability of competitive grant funds for the provision of a full range of civil legal services to Native Americans who reside on the Choctaw Indian Reservation in Mississippi, which encompasses the counties of Jones, Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Scott, and Winston.

LSC intends to award grants beginning January 2013.  The estimated annualized grant amount for service area NMS-1 is $78,291.  Click here for information on persons, groups, and entities that are eligible to apply.

Refer to the Request for Proposals (RFP) for instructions on preparing the grant application; the regulations and guidelines governing LSC funding; and grant proposal submission requirements.

Applicants must file a NIC to participate in this competitive grants process.  Applicants access and electronically submit the NIC using the online application system at www.lscgrants.lsc.gov.   The deadline for filing the NIC is July 31, 2012, 5:00 p.m., E.D.T.  The deadline for filing grant proposals is September 28, 2012, 5:00 p.m., E.D.T. 

These dates supersede the dates in the RFP.  All other instructions, regulations, guidelines, definitions, and grant proposal submission requirements remain in effect unless otherwise noted.
