Upcoming Deadlines

  • 02-27-2012

    The application deadline for the Herbert S. Garten Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LSC LRAP) is February 27, 2012.

    The LSC LRAP program awards forgivable $5,600 loans to attorneys with up to five years of experience with a program to help them repay law school loans. Attorneys must have at least $50,000 in law school debt in order to apply. The provision of LRAP assistance is contingent upon the continuing availability and terms of funding for the FY 2012 program.

    The second and final set of Grant Activity Reports (GARs) is due March 1, 2012. The forms that are due are: 

    • D-1 forms (Actual Expenses)
    • D-3 forms (Actual Revenue)
    • E-0 (Actual Office Information)
    • E-1 (Actual Staffing)
    • G-2 (Additional Information Relating to Cases)
    • J-1 (Components of Actual PAI)
    • L (Other Services Narrative)
    • M (Other Services Report)

  • 04-02-2012

    In accordance with LSC’s multi-year funding policy, grant applications for calendar year 2013 funding will be accepted only for specified service areas. 

    LSC plans to publish the list of service areas in competition for 2013 grant awards on the Where We Fund page and in the Federal Register on or around April 2, 2012. 

  • 04-09-2012

    LSC plans to publish the application forms for the Standard Grant Renewal during the week of April 9, 2012. The Standard Grant Renewal is for current grantees with service areas in renewal that have not had an LSC program quality visit (PQV) since January 1, 2010. The grant renewal is submitted through the online application system.

  • 04-09-2012

    LSC plans to publish the Request for Proposals (RFP) and the Notice of Intent to Compete (NIC) application forms during the week of April 9, 2012. The Request for Proposals provides the complete instructions for applying for LSC Legal Aid Grants and will be available on the Application Documents page. In order to submit a grant proposal, all applicants must first submit a NIC. The NIC is completed through the online application system, and is due by May 11, 2012. All applicants are encouraged to learn more about LSC's Legal Aid Grants before beginning a grant application.

    The Notice of Intent to Compete (NIC) is due May 11, 2012. 

    In order to submit a grant proposal, all applicants must first submit a Notice of Intent to Compete (NIC). The NIC is completed through the online application system.

    LSC will post the list of applicants that filed a Notice of Intent to Compete (NIC) on or around May 14, 2012. The posting will be available on the Notices page.

    LSC plans to publish the Post-PQV grant application and grant renewal on May 18, 2012, for Schedule B applicants only. It will be due June 18, 2012. The Post-PQV Schedule B application and renewal is for applicants that have had a PQV since January 1, 2010; will have received a final PQV report by April 30, 2012; and are the only applicant for the service area.

    LSC will hold the Applicant Informational Session (AIS) May 22, 2012. This free online conference is designed to provide an understanding of the information needed to prepare the grant application. The AIS is for applicants that have not had an LSC program quality visit (PQV) since January 1, 2010, and for new applicants.

    Registration for the AIS begins April 2012.

    LSC will hold the Post-PQV Applicant Informational Session (AIS) May 24, 2012. This free online conference is designed to provide an understanding of the information needed to prepare the grant application. The Post-PQV AIS is for applicants and grant renewal applicants that have had a PQV since January 1, 2010; will have received the final PQV report by July 2, 2012; and are the only applicant for the service area.

    Registration for the Post-PQV AIS begins April 2012.
